I'm growing a sweetseeds Red poison autoflower and it's getting quite thick down the bottom. I can't see stems at all it's so bushy. So my question is can I cut out a few leaves here and there for growth, sunlight and airflow without hurting her or just leave her be. Thanks

Just leave her be, she "knows" what she is doing! Just remember - More leaves = more energy being made = more growth. Simple really!

Hey thanks for all your advice it's truly appreciated.I ended up leaving her be for a few reasons but mainly bcoz she ain't broke so nothing to fix.I don't think the positive things I could do outweigh the negs.I understand with auto's they can be a bit more personal as in it really depends on the whole situation ie plant health, climate, timing ect whereas photo's you tend to have a bit more play room..Thanks again. Peace love and lotsa buds.

Yes, you can . With everything how you do something is what’s key. Selectively defoliate only what’s blocking primary bud sites, lst “low stress train branches outwards by gently making the branch pliable then stretch & pin down the branch. It will widen your plant giving better air flow & light penetration. You want your leaves as many as reasonable they are a food source as are the roots. I’ I’d try to be finished bending branches & doing any heavy major defoliating by mid week 2 flowering. From that point onwards I’d let her ride pampering her only selectively defoliating as necessary & with healthy growth that’d be every other week so probably perhaps once more after week 2 flower then leave her & the rest alone until trimming BUT again I’d only remove selectively as NECESSARY to accomplish uniform bud structure & air flow

you know what you do? you take the stems those budlets are growing from and bend them outside as if you’re lsting it. dont brake the branches just like supercropping get them out of the shading upper leaves and separate the surfaces touching the mainstem. 45degree angle is good usually. the tips should stick outwards. that way you’ll get light and air in there which will help with better growth.

You really don't need to with the sun. Just rotate your pot so the sun gets in everywhere Defol as this late stage, not recommended. But again, you are growing outside so you aren't dealing with static light. The sun moves and no shade will be there more than a few hrs. So it really is kinda pointless. If you notice and parts not getting light you can always leafs tuck. Good luck.
