I know the importance of keeping a uniform canopy height when mainlining indoors but does it matter outdoors? Is the sunlight strong and mobile enough to distribute the light evenly or should I do my best to keep the canopy level?

Not as important outdoors unless you are trying to keep it low and out of sight.
Since the sun moves and sunlight penetrates much better, it is not necessary to have an even canopy outdoors.
You can do it if you want to, the plant won't mind, but it isn't essential....

I mean...
Most things grow straight😅 Considering they are orienting themselfes to the sun anyway during the day...
Apart from that an even canopy will give more evenly distributed buds instead of you know one stem grabbing the mainload.
Maybe some branch starts to go off but that could be from the plant itself not bcs it got more sunlight.
Bit LST cant hurt if you wanna have it even so basically its up to you how you wanna have it.

You want to still try and keep it uniform. Even know the sun penetrates through the plant. You will get more stretch outdoors because of the temp swings compared to your indoor grow. Cheers!

Cutting off growth below node to be topped before topping dayI am mainlining the girl for an outdoor summer grow. I'm planning on topping next on the 3rd node after the 4th node is a bit more developed. After topping, I will remove nodes 1 & 2. Overenthusiastic SupercropThink I overdid it with the supercropping. The worst branches hang below 90° but the growth seems healthy, everything turned up towards the sun the next day. I changed the worst so they're supported and less than 90°. Is there more I can do? A way to avoid splitting the skin ?3 years ago

Is it a problem if one main cola is longer then the other?Did my first topping/mainlining.
Right cola is longer then the left one, is it a problem or will they even out?
For now Im trying to break any apical dominance by holding the longer cola below the shorter one.

Did I wait too long to top?I just topped, main-lined, and defoliated. The stem is about the thickness of a pencil, and the nodes are very tightly packed.
The reason I waited so long to top was because I wanted to clone the cuttings and give them to a friend.
