High Bugattir, You can always try harvesting on different times to gain the knowledge what you prefer for in the future. But you better check trichomes above pistils to be accurate on right harvest times. Same here just harvest in different stages so that you can find your perfect high. Happy Smoking! 😋

I'm with Hashy here... you're not dumb at all and I ALSO go by the trichs as they are a more reliable indicator.... if they're 100% milky, you'll get your energetic high, when about 10-20% of them turn amber, you'll get your energetic but relaxing high... and if they're more than 30%, you'll be on your couch. I think it's important to take the read off the trichs rather than the pistils and I'll tell you why - I just looked at someone's grow where all the pistils were still white - but the trichs showed up to be all milky... it just happens sometimes (different strains? different conditions? different genetics?) that the pistils are lousy at indicating the state of readiness to be harvested. Buy yourself a jewlers loupe (inexpensive!) or a microscope (much better but more expensive) so you can truly see what is going on with the trichs... It will be important if you know precisely what kind of a high you want to get from your grow. Good luck!

No your not being dumb. It's a case of finding what high you prefer. I usually go off the trichomes on the buds and look for 100% cloudy.
