I am about to start the harvesting and drying process. It is a heatwave In my country and the temperatures are around 26-31degrees / 78.8 - 87.8 Fahrenheit Would there be other solutions to my problem than an expensive air conditioner?

If you have a basement or room that naturally stays cool, along with the option to move your dry room there, I recommend doing it. You're looking for 60°F and 60% relative humidity throughout your dry, as optimal setups are concerned. Since you can't reach that temperature, you can at least reach that relative humidity in the room. 78°F and 60% relative humidity will give you a quick dry, but, it should turn out fine. You won't lose very many terpenes due to higher heat and they will still have a chance to cure well after you dry. As far as solutions go, you could get some fans and keep air circulating all the time. Just make sure you don't hit your plants/buds with any direct gusts from any of your fans. Try to keep a fan up high, pointed towards the base of the branches/plants, and have the other fan focused on moving air from between he floor and the tops of the plants while they are hanging. Good airflow will go a long way. I hope this helps. Good luck!

And nobody mentioned that AC and warmer moist air = humidity rising

Forgot my point being trim less if it's hot as long as humidity is monitored and correct it will dry out slower if that's what you want, wet trim will probably dry a bit faster

Drying takes about 2-7 days. The process is usually shorter when wet trimming because most of the plant material is trimmed away first and there is less plant to dry. As long as the temperature and humidity is met and the bud stalks snap and outside dry then you're good to go curing, this then allows the moisture driven inside to do it's magic and stop it tasting like smoking a lawn. Dry too fast and it will be like smoking a hot bonfire of lawn cuttings.

Temps are important in drying. Some terps begin evaporating around 70+F It isn’t the end of the world if you dry in your current conditions - just not optimal. As for solutions, depends on your will to spend or create something to lower temps. There are cheap solutions such as ice box set ups with a fan blowing over. Depends how dedicated you wanna get. But temps ARE important in drying contrary to what some may say. You can dry your shit out in the 95 degree sun too. It’ll smoke and get ya high but it’s not optimal

The most important issue is the humidity - it needs to be as close to 60% as possible. With higher heat, you'll get a faster dry time which isn't the end of the world... I've had dry times of 3 days which is really TOO fast but there was no obvious downside to the bud/smoke/effect... Just do the best you can with the heat and concentrate on the humidity control Good luck and happy smokes!

High bro, You can move your tent or growbox to a cooler place inside the house if it is possible. Or use a evaporative cooler, they are a lot cheaper then airconditioning. You can also use cooling elements in front of a fan during the day. This is actually a DIY Evaporative cooler. Keep doors and windows closed during the day and open at night to keep your house (and your drying plants) as cool as possible. Goodluck! 😋

Just check for humidity ! Another crazy idea is to keep a 2L pet on freezer while one is on drying room, next to plants. Maybe only next to the hottest time of the day. But keeping humidity in ideal point and circulating air is enough!

I’m gonna dry in the same tent I have been growing in. I will have a moving fan and two still fans I can add on, for optimal movement of air. I will only turn on the inline fan in case of high humidity. I have a small dehumidifier in the tent running non stop (not that efficient) And a big efficient dehumidifier in the room the tent is located in. Both of these does not help on temperatures.
