Yes brother is completely normal. As a result, you can cross plants in one direction. But each seed of the common crossbreed also has its own characteristic features... But that certainly doesn't make it any less interesting.. But all the more interesting. Good luck with these beautiful purples 😍🍀😉

Same reason you see parents with kids that look completely different. Its hard to stabilize genetics. It takes a lot of inbreeding.

Most seeds you buy are F1, which is the seeds from the 2 parent strains. You will have a bit of diversity in these. Some will be more like the mother, others like the father and a few different mixes of both. Like humans, some kids from the same parents can look completely different. If you breed with two F1 plants from the same parents, you get F2 seeds. In those you will have even more diversity and start picking up traits of the "grand parents" and get a much larger variety. These are usually the most fun to pheno hunt. If you then breed with two of those F2 plants, you get F3 and those begin to be more stable (if the breeder does their job right in selections). If you want almost exact same plants from seed, you will need to look for F3 or F4's.

The northern cultivator has pretty much nailed the answer for you. Its not easy and takes time to get a consistent pheno.

Hi! Each strain will have different "phenos" which is what you are seeing. The breeder can continue to breed and work on the strain to try to lock in certain traits that will show and be consistent in seeds. This takes time and dedication. Lots of breeders will be happy with the certain "phenos" the seeds produce and release them! Having lots of different phenos is not always a bad thing, helps create and find new strains. Easiest and best way to have every plant you are growing to grow the same and have same traits, is take clone cuttings from the same mom.
