Hey Growmie, with straight coco coir, it is critical to adjust the pH of the inflow, you should not be too concerned with the pH of the run-off water. Your only concern with pH is always providing nutrient solution (inflow) that is in the appropriate range for your substrate. Many growers make bad decisions to provide nutrient solution that is outside of the acceptable range in a misguided attempt to correct run-off pH values. This can destabilize the pH of the nutrient solution in the root zone and make nutrients unavailable. It would be easier to answer if you had a diary showing what you're feeding and how the plant looks. High pH run off usually signals root issues/infection or too little nutrients.

Hello and please help. Yesterday I found out that the pH level of the water that came out of the flower pot is too high 6.8. EC remained the same. Today I watered the plants with pH 5.9 water. I tried to water the plants as much as possible and the pH of the waste was 7. Please, how can I get the pH to normal values? Tomorrow begins the second week of flowering. Could it be a bad coconut substrate? Thank you and please help. I curse myself for planting these two plants in a coconut from a hobby market, which probably won't be of high quality.
