What do You think about topping/mainlining of Fast Buds auto flowers? Is it worthy? Or only LST allowable in their case?

It is possible, I have seen few growers doing it very well and work best on genetic with longer grow time like XL genetics. Is it worth it, I would say no on most strains, but worth trying on one plant if you have never done it good experience. LST work best with autos because it does not cause too much stress and let the plant grow healthy, its recommended for most strains but not all. Autos grow best in COCO or hydrophonic but not in pure soil as its too hard and the plant would be smaller and shorter Safe thechniques: LST SCROG and SOG are both low stress training (LST) SoG - The Sea of Green is especially used in small grow spaces - A lot of people is using this technique specialy in small spaces and Im thinking to do it as well ScrOG - Scrogging in limited space is a fantastic way to swell yields and reduce the risk of pathogens. A lot of people is using this technique specialy in small spaces Defoliation -Don't remove more than 10–15% of a single plant's foliage- Most people use this technique its work well if done correctly Not Safe thechniques: HST - High stress techniques usually requires us to cut, bend or break areas of the plant repeatedly, leaving time in between each manipulation for recovery. Not recomended for autos way too much stress but possible FIMing - FIM or Fimming is another training method that is similar to topping but here you don't chop off the whole main shoot but just the tip and in that way you create not just two main shoots bus more like 4 shoots. Not recomended for autos way too much stress but possible on some strains Main-Lining- Main-lining consists of a combination of the tie-down method and topping - Not recomended for autos way too much stress but possible on some strains

Autoflowers have a very VERY short veg period (3-4 weeks) and any major stress to the plant (like topping or mainlining) usually does not give the plant sufficient time to recover before it's heading into pre-flower. Stick to LST with autos unless you are a very experienced grower and a very lucky one, too... Good luck!

Depending on what your growing them in and your ability to grow is a huge game changer. Really topping is not advised or transplanting. I recommend growing them in coco/perlite mix or DWC. In soil they just don't get big. Soil is too heavy for the roots to expand, and absorb nutrients fast enough. If you can grow in dwc or coco pretty good it might be worth a shot. I have done it before, and didn't care for it. I get much more with aggressive LST. Just my thoughts on it. 👍

i wouldn't top off many nodes like i do with photos.. probably just 1 plus growth tip... then you'd do some minor and/or temporary lst as needed to break apical dominance of tallest branch of moment until they are all similar height. the topping would give that initial boost to the axillary growth... well-timed it could work out as a net positve. as long as you don't cut off a bunch of growth, you are not setting youself back far (autos are on a biological timer, what you cut off is 100% loss, but if only couple nodes that's not much) and could easily make up for that loss with strong growth over the rest of an even canopy. if growing a few plants, this sort of individual care is not a problem, but can add up with a room full. could probably acheive same thing bending it over after 6-7 growth nodes... get 10-12 vertical colas going and prune off anything congested.. still wasting gowth doing this too, but might be a net positive... pretty hard to tell with naked eye and only a few plants of varying genetics.

I'm pro-topping but I don't think you'd have time to mainline - even topping is risky because sometimes they be flowering from week 2!
