Dimming is not recommended unless your trying to save power. Especially if you have different led's on the same board. They will dim differently and can possibly change the spectrum. Go 90-100% all the time. I would have the light at 30" above the canopy and adjust from there. If you notice the plant is stretching out( longer then 2-3" you should lower the light. If the "True" leaves are forming a V shape then its to close. You want them to lay flat or be slightly angled up/down. Once your seeds have broken out of your substrate REMOVE the humidity dome. Only reason to have it is so the substrate does not dry out during the first stages of root development. Only water a little bit until they get bigger. Half a shot glass should be more then enough. Just because the top is dry does not mean the inside is dry. To much water will deprive oxygen from getting to the roots and cause issues. Happy Growing

They need light straight away! And I recommend to give 50% for the first week (otherwise you waste a lot of energy for nothing). And when the plant is starting to grow bigger and reached 3 nodes you can go to 100% I would start the seedling phase on 50cm distance between the lamp and the seedling. And after the seedling phase 40cm is far enough to be safe against light and heatstress.

I never dim and only use it at 100% i do change the height of the light and when they are seedlings I aim for aorund 25-35" from the canopy but every like is different try different heights and see what works best for you or consult the owners Manuel. The humidity dome are also not helpful if they have sprouted, can encourage dampening off a fatal fungal disease of plants. If you looking to keep humidity up remove the tops from them domes so they are like a tube. This allows airflow and keeps a micro climate in the tube/container so RH is a bit higher then ambient but not crazy. I use old cut out yogourt containers for this as winter can be to dry for the sprouts till they fill up the tent as mature plants. Good Luck!

Here's the way I think about it ... if you plant a seed, ANY seed, in the ground outdoors it's getting 100% of the sunlight available from the day it germinates. When my seeds germinate in my tent, that is what I give them - 100% of the light available from then until harvest... the only thing I do is to adjust the height of the lights - my lights have a dimmer switch but I've never used it! ... if the seedlings become leggy, I lower the lights and if the nodes are forming to closely together, I raise the lights. That's it. KISS... keep it simple! Good luck!
