It's some kind of beetle and probably not something that is going to affect your grow at all... I've not been able to find EXACTLY what kind of beetle it is (probably of the genus Sternolophus) but I wouldn't worry about this little guy at all. Good luck!

FYI that seed back you bought from is sketchy as shit. they have two other sister companies, they all steal images from legit breeders and say they are their own. I would not trust anything you get from them and avoid them at all costs in the future.

Defiantly beetle of some sort, does not look like its one of the common pests that ravage cannabis plants but that's not to say it can't. Some bugs can cause damage to the roots when they are scouting aorund for there own food. Keep and eye on the plants and if it looks to be hurting and your noticing more beetles it will be time to eliminate them. Soap and water or some BT should do the trick to kill off the life cycle from egg to larva. I would say this is a once off thing and nothing will come of it from here on out if I had to predict its future. Good Luck!

Looks like a Giant Water Scavenger beetle to me. They eat both decaying plant matter, fish and insects. It could also eat live plant matter but usually they stick to small insects and fish.. You will easily be able to notice this by seeing chewed leaves. Since they also eat insects so it could of been searching to larva in your soil. I would say get rid of it, But don't stress over it as it will not infest your plant. Happy Growing
