Today is day one. Seedlings are in Fox farm Ocean Forest soil. Very first grow. Feeding fox farm big bloom nutrients at 25% strength. At day 7, plant 2 seems to be growing well. It is working on its first set of leaves. Not sure if it is a little behind or not. Plant 1 is mott growing very well. Both are in the same dirt, and getting same nutrients.

Are my pants growing at a decent rate? Plant 1 I don't think it's going to make the cut. It's behind and I don't have a whole lot of room

Plants grow at different rates. I've had some runty looking seedlings that turned into monster plants. I would not give up on her yet. Good luck! 👍

Looking at plant 2 on day 18, it appears the leaves are starting to stand up, pray, sticking up, etc. What could be causing this? I'm using T5HO lights. Total of 210 watts. Is she getting too much light?

Hi there ! It could be the heat ! But it could be also the signs that she need water , as plants are "praying" to limit "sweating" ! Hope it will help you 😁👍

I flushed with fox farm sledgehammer to remove excess salt build up like they recommend. Now all of my fan leaves are yellow and dying. Some of the sugar leaves are doing the same.. Any ideas?

Hi @GrowFanatic! Well, since you used a product to get rid of salts/nutrients/chemicals, your plant is trying to find energy elsewhere, so basically it's eating the few nutrients left in the leaves. That's a normal thing, leaves are supposed to fade when harvest is coming / when the flush has started. This phenomenon is called "senescence" and is part of the pre-harvest process. No worries, this reaction is completely normal. However, I think you still have a few weeks to go through before harvest, so I'd recommend to give them at least 2-3 last meals, before flushing for 7-14 days depending on the trichome's evolution. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@DudeGrowsWeed, that's what confused me. She's not getting any nutrients. I read up and it could be salt buildup. I gave her a good flush today so let's see

@GrowFanatic, I've never really dealt with this myself in any of my grows so far. But I did a little research and it sounds like it could be Nitrogen Toxicity. Check out the following link: https://www.growweedeasy.com/nitrogen-toxicity-cannabis Sounds like you should start backing down on your Nitrogen heavy nutrients from what I read. I hope that helps you out.

looking at your bud development and the time that these actually started to flower i would say you should switch back to your week 3 feed schedule. (flush with the week 3 solution if possible)

@GrowFanatic, You definitely have a very sativa dominant pheno type my friend and great to hear you'll be running more of our strains in the future 👍 Not long left in this grow now. 10 day's in my opinion mate 👊 Keep up with the plane water flush and that will give you a super clean end product 👌 Until next time 👍 With love from Humboldt County ✌️ Kind regards Mark..

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, thank you for all of your help. It's great to see a very well known breeder who also helps people with their grows. Well definitely be buying more of your genetics. They definitely look very sativa. The trichome production on the shorter of the two is unreal. They look like diamonds. And what a smell! I can't quite put my finger on the smell, like piney but berry. Very unique.

@GrowFanatic, one tip my dad taught me many year's ago was that instructions and more specific doses for feed need to be altered for each strain. Some plants are heavy feeding and will take a lot of feed pushing the e.c upto 2.0-2.4 which is very high. If you do this with other strains it will not end well. I like to go in at half the recommended dose and raise as needed. The plant will let you know what she need my friend 👊 Your plants are definitely showing their sativa side. Big long branches with that typical sativa look 👍 Going off the pictures I would say another 10-14 day's will see this grow completed 👊 I would do 1 more feed then swap to just water for the final 7-10 day's 👍 Not long now my friend. Then you can get the scissors out and your fingers sticky 😎 With love from Humboldt County ✌️ Kind regards Team-HSO..

😯 they look 👀 decent size, hopefully dense
GrowFanatic
GrowFanaticcommented6 years ago
@ChefDan420, they are long and fluffy, but I'm almost certain that it is because of me. Pots are way too small and I was feeding nutrients at half strength every other watering and haven't really gotten a good flush. So today I gave them a really good flush and going to cut back to 1/2 strength every 3 or 4 watering.

@Weedo_The_Hempstar, that's what I wanted to verify. Right now I'm feeding week 5 nutrients which are very different from week 3. Should I go back to that weeks nutrients? Does anyone else think this as well?

dont worry too much about the brown pistils, when its just a few it could be from accidentally touching them a little rough or a leaf rubbing against them or even high airflow. It definitely looks like your buds are still elongating so the swell should be coming soon. 👌
Weedo_The_Hempstar
Weedo_The_Hempstarcommentedweek 106 years ago
Hey there Fanatic everything looks good and healthy. Did you start counting as flower from the flip to 12/12 or when pistils developed? I think you may not be as far into the flower as you think.... they look to be around 2-3 weeks into flower IMHO Good luck
