Early/fast versions are your best bet for outdoor photoperiod plants in short summer areas. Mandala Seeds have "Speed Queen", "Fast and Glorious" and "Mandala#1" which are all bred to finish by the end of September, especially for Northern European climates and they certainly won't disappoint quality wise in my experience! Otherwise plants with strong indica genes generally finish earlier, but stay away from long blooming sativas. Strangely, planting late in the season, 2-4 weeks before the summer solstice, can actually promote faster flowering as their main exposure once established is to decreasing daylength which then triggers them to "get a move on" and flower quickly and decisively. Plants started very early can build up floral inhibitors which can make them stubborn to flower, delaying maturation into Autumn. Planting late does limit size to 4-7 feet, but this makes them easier to conceal and makes it easier to grow more (number of) plants in the same area as large, earlier started plants. It also provides an opportunity to grow more varieties too.......many smaller plants instead of a few large ones provides a much more interesting harvest!

Oh, and I like to start my photoperiod plants inside a few months before they go outside. That gives them time to bulk up and survive a surprise spring frost or most anything else that nature could throw at them.

It all depends on your latitude and longitude, honestly. So, here's what you need to do: 1) find out your latitude and longitude 2) find out what your climate is. Subtropical, temperate, maybe? This will help with figuring out what cultivars you can grow inside of your grow season. 3) find out when you start having around 13-14 hours of darkness in your grow season. I'm not talking about dawn and dusk, either. Those should be counted as light hours. Outside, cannabis starts kicking into flower power before true 12/12 hits, unless it is Stupid Silver Haze or other very heavy narrow-leaf dominant genetics. But, depending on your climate, you might be able to grow that outside. I can't even try, being at 43°N. Now that you have these numbers, you can start looking at seeds from good labs like Sensi Seeds. Focus on flowering times and resistances to the elements, such as heat or cold, depending on climate. If you don't want to do research, grow Autoflowers. They will definitely finish in time. I hope this helps.
