A strain question for the Canucks. There is a strain known as Kootenay Thunderfuck grown in the Nelson B.C. area. Does anyone know for sure if this was an offshoot of Alaskan Thunderfuck?

Hello. Wow That look great. Thanks for sharing. I thought you had some of the Kootenay. Yes, I would guess it's from the same seed stock offered on Marc Emery's seed catalogue from many years ago. I wish I had all the seeds that I threw out back then. We even found seeds in the Thai Sticks we use to get. Thanks Buddy. See ya around. Chuck.

Thanks Chuck I haven't had any Kootenay Thunderfuck since I was out there last time ten years ago. Alaskan Thunderfuck is my daily go to puff now and when I started buying it online I wondered about a possible connection. For those that don't know the Kootenay area is in south east B.C. From what I can remember it tasted similar and had a similar high to ATF. It has been grown around there for a long time. Possibly from the draft dodgers migration from the US. I am just hoping someone might know.

Hello. Nice beard by the way! I checked my old seed catalogue, ThunderFuck was a cross of Matanuska Tundra x Sour Diesel. I remember when it first came out, it was very unstable, probably a F2 or F3 cross. In the years that followed the Tundra was changed to Thunder and it was stabilized. And with the strength of the sour diesel there was a fuck added. When you start seeds you don't get very many high test ones and this strain was the strongest and tastiest in that area. Example; Commerce City Kush, Tahoe Cookies, Florida Kush, Swazi Redbeard land race, Texada Timewarp. All were very poplar in their area, so the place was incorporated into the name. Probably a clone only strain, that was passed from person to person. Must be good to have it's own place name. Hope that answers some questions. Make some fem seeds. Chuck.
