Google "wicking bed" or "wicking system". A piece of organic (hemp/cotton etc) rope and a bucket of water is all you need........not even gravity is required.

buy a pump, a large enough reservoir for 10 days of irrigation and set something up... a cheap bhyve 4-zone controller can be run from WWW. or is it a 2-zone? either way... soething akin to that... or a timer outlet that just comes on as needed... gonna need a drainage pump too... automate it all if you have no one that can help... unless you got some industrious ghosts living in your home... manifest some indenstured servants or something...

Look up clay watering wicks needs a reservoir and a bit of set up, depending on how big of an medium you go might need more, uses negative pressure and gravity to water. There are also drip systems (although require more trial and error to get the right amount of watering) Hope this helps!
