Depending on which characteristics the plant picked up during the cross will likely determine the smells it puts off also it could be as simple as your nose might be playing tricks because you had a cigarette which can change your smell perception or something you ate or the last joint your smoked, could be the HR fluctuations in the grow area did you just water them? There's a few reason smells change, ive been in basement and noticed immediately when the light shut off that the smell changes to like a wet grass smell, they're shutting down and off gassing oxygen and chlorophyll which is acidic...But there's nothing to worry about unless is smells like mold
