LST and topping are two different things all together.
LST is thigs like plant training/branch bending....and topping (high stress training) involves cutting parts of your plant off entirely.
I would bend/train the tallest branches to encourage horizontal growth, not cut bits off.
I would also be looking into the deficiencies, either under feeding or pH problems.........or maybe even both.
In coco coir a pH of 5.8 is generally accepted.

Yes you can lst them and spread out the branches. If they are crisp or tough you may have to roll stems and hst them. If you are growing in coco your ph is off likely. You are having nitrogen deficiency for sure.

Ready to harvest?I took these pictures of the trichomes today. I heard trichomes should be 2/3 milky and 1/3 orange. On my pictures i dont see much milky trichomes but a lot of orange ones. What does that mean? Are they ready to harvest or should i wait? Side note: I fertilized the last 2 days

Chop-off time?Do I still have to wait for like 30% of the trichomes to turn amber? Because in all diaries that I read, the leaves on chopped-off plants are far from being all red and yellow like mine, and although most of my trichomes are milky, only few of them have turned amber. Thanks!Week 14

Inexpensive solutions to excessive calcium in water? (Distilled water would be expensive over time)Calcium particulate coming from humidifier. I'm using soft water (from a well), but it seems like there's still build-up. I added water softener salt tablets to the humidifier, but I don't think changed anything (ion exchange w/o a charge?).
