It's quite rare to have trace element issues, so less likely magnanese if you have widdled the possibilities down properly...
soil has it and no reputable hydro nute is without it.
More than one thing can cause interveinal chlorosis, but i see no spots that typically coincide with Mg-deficiency.
"cal mag" is a product name or common alias for 2 different molecules.. even in "cal mag" products they are not bonded together in any way.. the products are at least 2 different chemicals mixed together (all matter has a chemical equation.. each has it's own phyiscal and chemical properties that are consistent with all othe rmatter in same configuration... gives a nice warm feeling when it is understood :P ) So you usually have cal-nitrate (which is bonded before it goes into solution) and somethign with magnesium in it.. which could be mag-sulfate if you also see nearly 2:3 ratio % of Mg : S (10%13% then reduced since it is a weighted average of entire mass which contains cal nitrate or other stuff too, percentages can be lower but if in this ratio, it is magnesium sulfate x heptahyrdrate - "mag-sulfate usp")
