I personally think it's ok to defoliate throughout the whole time. It just needs to be very minimal after your 1st transplant to a bigger bag or once you into full flower. Thats when it can stunt growth and all that good stuff. I think that the whole plant getting the proper light is very important when it comes to yield, THC level and trichomes. If you have big fan leaves covering a whole section of your plant and the one next to it then its gonna take longer possibly loose THC because they stayed under the light to long. Plus are these Autos? It doesn't matter to me but some people are funny about messing with them (autos).

I do not like too much defoliation.. but I am an outdoor grower.. For Example, sometimes I apply defoliation, but in some cases.. for example, as I used a lot LST tech, then sometimes I need to defoliate.. Remember as people say.. Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth! So I think that you might be wise to when defoliate.. Happy growing! :)

less is more with defo, but i think you have some vege growth left (ie new leaves). They power everything... a little less removed will do you better in future. Tht doesn't mean catastrophe by any means... it'll be fine.
