Spiders in the outdoor garden, good or bad?

I was out in the garden tending to my ladies and came across a couple of spiders. I know spiders are supposed to eat other bugs, but that also involves a spider web. So, my question is should I leave the spiders alone? Or should I kill them as I find them, like other bugs?

Hey bro! 👋😇 This is a funnel web spider, or as it's also called, the "grass spider." It lives in the grass, builds a cocoon out of silk, and hunts small insects. Sometimes it can cover up to 2 square meters with its web; as soon as a victim touches it, it immediately rushes out of its hiding spot and attacks! They are not dangerous to humans at all, nor to plants! I would even say that such a "guard" can be beneficial in the fight against harmful insects and parasites. 👆 I wouldn't touch it... they don't stay in one place for more than a week or two. If there are few insects around your plants, the spider will quickly leave the area on its own! 👌 Good luck, buddy! ✊😇

Hello. Spiders are a good way to tell the garden is doing well. This spider I call a Daddy Long Legs. It is called a harvester. It walks along or can climb a bit and eats what ever it comes across. Very harmless to us and plants. Good Luck. Chuck.

Leave it! I have a "domestic" spider too and it eats a lot of aphids :)

Any spider is a good spider. They eat all the bugs that are bad for your plants.
