When I should start feeding small amounts of nutes (ff big bloom or ro ancient amber or also silica?) to my plants? They are in a 1/3 mix of ffof ffhf and 707 full of nutes and recently transplanted.

Anytime I grow in soil, I wait until I see signs that a deficiency is starting, and usually the sign is your older leaves will start to fade. This is when I start introducing nutrients. Always better to be underfed than overfed. Easy to fix underfed plants my friend.

Let me be more specific. Could someone look at my diary and the size of my plants and soil mixture and when iit's safe to start giving nutes. I'm guessing with my soil mixture around week 5 or six however they've just been transplanted. I know what my nutrients are for. Big bloom is for early veg. Ancient Amber can be used as well. Not sure which I'll use. My question is how long will the nutes in the soil carry me over until I should start feeding. And would it be beneficial to start a silica regimen? I'm pretty sure i know the answer myself butid aporeciate some feedback. Please only answer if you've seen the diary.

if completely unfamiliar with it, i'd wait till you see coty's start to fade a bit or even the first single-bladed leaves. ramp up dose, don't start at full. take some notes of timing and doseage and preempt it next time if using same soil or soil mixture.

My precious, The roots organic from ancient amber should ONLY be given during vegging stage NOT during flowering because it will cause nitrogen toxicity if you give it during a later stage. The Fox Farm big bloom should not be given till you notice the first signs from flowering. You can use silica throughout the duration of the growing cycle and the early flowering stage. So stop using it past the third week of the flowering stage. Enjoy your grow buddy!
