How long left?

Hi all, just a quick bit of reassurance more than anything. Am I right in thinking that I’m about 2 weeks from harvest? I’m in soil so want to know if I should start flushing with water. Thanks 😁

I personally think your buds have a lot more fattening up to do! You need to check the trichomes with a microscope or loupe - you'll want to see some of them start to turn amber and then you'll have about a week or two left... Good luck!

yeah post some of those studies please gottagrowsometime flushing is a fucking myth. dont overfeed your plants and then you dont need to starve them at the end. plus flushing as evidenced by the study i shared actually decreases the bud quality turning sweet fruity flavors into earthy tones also i dont see why people are suggesting you up your p and k while seeing you have yellow leaves which indicates an overall hunger leaning especially towards nitrogen. nitrogen is needed in hefty amounts in every stage of plant growth and thats a fact. you just have to not overfeed it.

Again with the studies. Pal I'm not going to waste my time. As if I looked id find studies to contradict the very thing you are trying to teach me Thanks but, I prefer to flush synthetic nutrients away from my grow. And again, that study unless it has organic bud vs synthetic nutrient bud there's a massive difference when it comes to flushing.

At least another 3-4 weeks, maybe longer. Stop giving nutrients when there are about 95% brown pistils and harvest when there are 98-99% brown pitils, this will put you in the "10-30% amber trichome" zone without having to look too closely. No need to drown your plants with huge amounts of water, just stop all nutrients 10-14 days before the expected harvest time and your plant will flush itself. Just give plain water, in normal amounts and at normal intervals and this is all that is needed for a "flush". Flushing could really be thought of/renamed "nutrient witholding period", as this is the time when you want the plants to get rid of any nutrient salt build up in their system, so stopping fertilizing achieves this without running gallons and gallons of water through the pots, which just causes hyper saturated buds that can then develop mould problems when drying after harvest. At this stage I would actually suggest increasing your feeding slightly, especially P and K, as your plants will need the nutrition to finish growing their flowers and by the look of things, they are already hungry, as evidenced by the many pale/yellowing leaves. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Ah bro look, every1 has there own way. It's what works best for you. But if you are using syn nutrients flushing is a must. This blind test, does it go into was it organic or synthetic nutrients used, cause there's a massive dif if its organic. And as for materials on the net. If you look, you'll find something to everything you learnt to contradict it. So, it's really down to pref. If you like a softer smoke flush. Or why would ppl grow organic if nutrients didn't have a bad effect on taste if not sorted. Anyways, each to his own. Good luck.

About 4 weeks left. Regards flush, if you have been heavy feeding then plain ph water for 10 days before harvest, if lite feeding then 5 days before harvest. There are a few different opinions on flushing. I do it because I never see much more development when I have fed up to harvest. Its probably more ideal for the reusable grow mediums because your doing some of the prep work by ridding it of excess salts.

just a heads up flushing is bro science myth and there is plethora of info on flushing and none provides pro flushing results. one study finds cannabis smokers chose the unflushed buds based on taste by blind tests other study finds flushing creates a higher concentration of unpalatable nutrients in the buds such as zinc and magnesium. you dont flush. no one flushes any other plant on this planet why the fuck would you flush cannabis?

Well 1 is an auto and 1 isn't. But what I can c from your diary. Maybe they are flowering 4 weeks if even that? Hmm, looking its a lil to early to say. But just by guessing, you have 3-4 weeks left then flush. (FYI you might get some ppl telling u not to flush. You have to flush in soil) just a heads up. But ye. A good 3-4 weeks left before. You are only coming out of pre flower so your buds have a lot of fattening to do and that. 90% cloudy you can start the flush on and she'll finish up nicely. Also idk how you plan to flush? Hard or soft. My recommendations is with soil you want to soft flush. To let the plant draw up the rest of what your soil has left. And on the last day or so. Do a hard flush to get a ppm test. (Take off the ppm of the water you used and if your ppm is high still above 2-400 your plant needs more time, another 2 days after the hard flush should finish her off. Good luck.. Good luck pal.
