Has anyone tried growing in perlite? I know I'll need to monitor my nutes. I'm not seeing much difference than growing in co co except the co co seems to retain more moisture.

Hey there so you're right about it being similar to using coco. Soiless is nice cause you usually know exactly what's going in. Are you going to use like a Dutch bucket or a drain to waste setup? With the perilite only setup i think the biggest problem is watering enough and the right nutrient amounts. You'll likely need to water 2+ times a day and usually feed every watering. If you could mix enough water for several days at one time it'll save you a lot of time. If you did the D.B you could water 3-4 times a day and use around 1tsp/gal of your various nutrient lineup. Good luck with the grow, I'm excited to watch the process. ✌️

I have used perlite a few times. I used 40% perlite and the rest was soil. I had no complains about it. Good luck

I personally haven't used just perlite but it is the same as coco because it is a soilless medium actually seen people say that it's close to hydroponics like DWC. So yes always monitor the nutes and there isn't much difference because there almost the same growing technique.
