(Autoflower) Should I defoliate? I made the rookie mistake of doing NO defoliating or lst during vegging, cuz they were skinny then. Did minor defol during flowering. It’s in full flower with 2-3 weeks left and we have about 7 straight days of rain. Worried about wpm and bud rot.

Hey Dmesh Never defoliate an Auto during flowering You'll cause stress. The plant will dedicate energy to recover and your yield will decrease Are you afraid of high humidity? You shouldn't worry unless the buds get wet directly from the rain How to avoid it? My advice: build a roof or shelter to prevent the plant from getting wet directly. With that, you shouldn't have any problems Since you have it outdoors, drive four stakes into the ground around it, taller than the plant, and place a piece of greenhouse polycarbonate or greenhouse polyethylene plastic If you have anything else, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the info everyone! 😁👍 Gonna do that today. Took a Big Bang auto inside because it just needed a few days to a week to fully ripen. Doing lst on all my newer plants. Gotta make diaries for those

Also cover them from the rain it will protect the trichomes too and the rot you get will be from the water penetrating the buds deep. You could probably deal with the humidity. Even a trash bag just throw something over them when it rains 🤙🏻

You should lst them away from sun a little before they switch over to flower. Like week 3 or 4
