Best way to get crickets/grass hoppers away from my outdoor plants? Can see the bites in the picture. But I have also seen them jumping around when I go to water.

That’s a grasshopper. They primarily eat fan leaves. Grasshoppers do eat caterpillars. So they actually can be beneficial to so cal growers. Some say good luck, but all I see is munched fan leaves.

some sort of insecticide or predator. Never had issues with crickets, grasshoppers yea and some caterpillars. topical spray should help deter them. Something like Neem, but it also harms the friendly bugs as well. Good Luck!
