all you can do is give it light, feed it and adjust to what you see.
if new, i'd also read up on proper irrigation methods. could be the cause of the lower leaf damage if roots are constantly wet. i don't see spots, so it's not calcium. find a decent leaf symptom chart with a google image search.
based on how the leaves never really progressed beynodn 3-5 fingers, i'd say your balance of feed is off in some way, but not enough info given and that is such a complciated subject with multiple variables at play, so there isn't a one-sized fits-all solution... thouhg a good ratio will require very little adjustment. 7-7-15 with enough ca/mg/s + trace elements. it's all important.. ratio as well as overall concentration.
you probably needed more light, not less. light = yield.
