LST with small space

BlackWhite
BlackWhitestarted grow question a year ago
Should I do LST when my horizontal space is limited? I have 3 Autos in a 60x60x180cm tent and I‘m a bit concerned that this will a bit too small if they grow out. So would LST contribute more to the horizontal space problem?

Absolutely. Especially if growing sativas or high stretching strains. Lst and even hst may be your only option. Other then topping or super croping. I'm scared to do that so I just use lst. Lst is your best option to not stunt growth. Although more measures may have to be taken if running out of room. Just use green garden wire that has protective coating on it. Tie around the top stem below the top node. Allow room in the loop so the stem can grow amd thicken. Then gently bend over and tie it off. Each day you may need readjusted. Bit yeah if you have limited height lst would be your best bet. Like I said it may get severe enough you will need to do HST. Just watch, and read up ok the strain your growing to see how high it normally grows and how much it stretches. Good luck growmie Please consider selecting me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 🙏 😃

Long long story short I would lst. Growing in soil they likely won't get really big. Spread out is better then too tall and close to the light and heat spot they make. The heat will hurt the profile of the flower way more then spread out lower.

the more systematic you are at filling the space, the better the yield will be. with many plants in a small space, this is less important but can still help. you should need a ton of training as these plants will quickly fill in the gaps just growing normally. you'll still more easily and more quiclkly get X vertical colas per sq ft in a systematic manner. the axillary growth (axillary buds -> branches) will eventually be more substantial, though some strains do not branch as much as others. What you see now isn't representative of a more mature plant, more times than not. remember, you only have to fill about 1/2 the space by the time you flip to flower... if autoflower, it's a crapshoot in that regard as they all have different time frames for development. when you see preflowers, figure flowering started 7days prior or more.
