I have thinned out my plant today (day33) and have taken out a few strange leaves and am wondering what the cause is ? Question2: should I remove the upper large leaves when the plant has recovered before it starts flowering?

If your big fan leaves are blocking bud sites from light then remove them or better yet, tuck them back out of the way if possible. Tucking causes stress on the plants but not as much as removal. The leaf borders yellowing and developing necrosis could be potassium unavailability. Usually, if your plant has been fed according to a feed chart recommendations, it's unlikely you will run into deficiencies because of the nutrients being insufficient. It more likely that your pH is off or your soil is becoming toxic with salt build up and in need of a reset. I would flush your soil with 6.2 pH water. 2x to 3x water volume example, 1 gal pot will be flushed with 2 gal or 3 gal pH adjusted tap water. Then allow to dry out till pot feels light, then feed.

Hey there! For question 1, strange leaves could be a sign of various things like nutrient deficiency, pests, or even just the plant doing its plant thing. Maybe check the soil, and keep an eye out for any unwanted visitors. As for question 2, trimming large leaves might help redirect energy to the growing buds, but don't go all Edward Scissorhands on it. Plants need their leaves for photosynthesis and all that jazz. Give it some recovery time and then consider some gentle pruning if needed. Happy growing!

I don't known how you get to output 1100µmol/m².s from a fixture given at 520µmol/m².s by the manufacturer and dimmed at 80%, but if it's really the case, you needs to dilute more your nutrients sauce because the plant is pumping hard.
