Looks to me like a over watering issues. When I have done this in the past my plants looked like this, warped mutated new growth from waterlogged roots and lack of airflow in the medium. I would look into better watering practices, if that is all it is it will outgrow this, if it is genetics it will stay kinda funny, if you have other seeds maybe soak one. if this does not start to improve. I don't think algae will be your down fall. its everywhere and in the water supply. You can't remove it it will come back, just control the way you water to keep its growth in check as it loves wet conditions. Good Luck!

Weed grows in places in the world where the climate is warm, humid and doesn't get consistent rainfall. Afghanistan, Nepal, India, Mexico, Columbia, Africa, Morocco etc. Weed doesn't grow in cold wet climates Canada, England, Germany etc. Point i am trying to make is that weed doesn't like WET soil, it doesn't like a dry atmosphere, and it doesn't like excessively cold or hot climate. Look at your soil.....is soil that wet in any of the places i mentioned where weed grows naturally? Weed likes soil on the dry side. They do not like wet soggy soil with no oxygen so don't water log your soil. Less is more i always say.

I think you should have buried the seedling better, algae are very harmful for your plant, especially for such a young one. If you don’t do anything about them, algae can cause significant damage to your cannabis plants. Algae do not attack cannabis directly. However, they not only suffocate plants and clog equipment, but also attract pests and pathogens that eat and infect cannabis. I would then remove the algae completely from your place and then cover the whole surface with soil or better perlite so that no light gets to the soil. In addition, I do not understand the transparent pot, roots like it dark, everything else leads to dying and problems like algae. I wish you much success with your grow.👌
