What do you do if your plant is too close to a topped out light without disturbing shorter plants in the tent?

My largest plant just started to flower and is already 9" from the light which is at the top of the tent. It's a 240 watt light board from AC Infinity. I have it set to 60% power. Should I leave it there or should I dial it down? No signs of stress yet. Other plants are shorter.

Hst the big plant and raise any still lower to equalize canopy across room. I see fox tails being a issue for you in about 6 weeks from light hot spot on plant. Best plan to start avoiding it now.

Wenn du mich fragst sind die so groß weil die nach dem Licht suchen oder net? Sehen eig gut aus. Ich würde sie kappen und ihr noch bissl in der Vegi lassen und sie dann in die Blüte nochmal schicken.

I wouldn't worry about causing it stress, a plant that established is going to be pretty hard to shock from just hst or lst. What I would do is prune the lower 45 degree nodes opening up the interior and leave only the nodes that are within 4-5 inches of your trellis. Then train the remaining branches so they are filling out any dead space in your tent(via hst and lst) until you have an even canopy. Also turn up your light too 100%, the brighter the light the less stretch generally (I would do the light gradually maybe 20% each week).

I should add that the light is completely topped out. It can't go any higher and the exhaust cannot be removed with the setup I have. Not without cutting the ducting and removing the carbon filter completely which then causes too much smell outside. I'm limited in my setup. Are we talking about super cropping? I ask because the whole canopy is level. Near table top level. Wouldn't that cause too much stress? Especially because it's an autoflower? Thanks!

Wow, that's a huge plant! :) I would use some LST to tuck and tie down the highest branches to the SCROG screen and create a more even cannopy. If it is still stretching (you said it is just starting flower) you may need to follow up every day and adjust. Happy growing!

Make as much room above the lamp as possible: take the extractor out of the box and put the filter outside after the extractor.

snap stems low enough so that power of light remains at 100% -- or whatever "100%" normally is for your bloom phase. when you reduce power it disproportionately effects the lower areas and edges/corners. may not have a huge loss up top directly under the light, but amplified everywhere else. after snapping you may need to support it, but if you snap it right it'll hang horizontally on its own. within a day or two you'll want to restrain it from growing upward again. so, maybe someting to hold it up/support it, then something to hold it down in a day or two.

If it isn't showing signs of stress I say leave it be now if that changes then dial it down
