Hello, I am using a viparspectra par1200 which has the veg and bloom adjustment knobs on autoflowers. My question is, should I only be using veg during veg and bloom during bloom? Or can I just turn that sucker on full blast the whole time? Thanks

In my experience using a different led with veg and bloom switches, I recommend using the veg switch by itself while in veg (my brand recommends 24” distance from plant tops during veg). Then in late veg, I turn on the bloom switch in addition to the veg switch, but I follow the 18” above the canopy rule. That gives the plant the full spectrum and provides me with amazing results. Follow your brand’s recommendation for light distance, but in the case of your auto flower, as soon as you see the plant shifting from veg to bloom, turn on the bloom switch and set the light distance. I hope this helps!

Blast both switches from start to finish. The more color spectrum you have the better growth you will get. This goes for veg and flower. Those switches do cut out some red in veg and some blue in flower but in reality it is more marketing than anything. Run them full power all the time and you will get better results.

@MOcaver it's all about light spectrum during veg your plants will need and use more of the blue type spectrum and once the flowering has begun and stretch is finished the plant will need more red spectrum . Im unsure as to how your light would go on "full blast" it would depend on the age of the plant distance from the plant and any extra heat involved

Yes, use veg for veg and bloom for bloom. Even though it is still possible to use both during both phases.
