New nodes after topping very small, should I top more?

I topped my plants a few days ago, but just the tips when the side nodes where just as little as a few mm. I've seen a lot of you topping like a whole bunch of the top. I mainlined my plants but I dont know if I should top them again so the nodes under the top become main nodes.

I'd wait.. don't top anything again for 2-3 weeks. She will stretch she's just starting her recovery. Give her some time in a week your mind will be blown!! Happy growing!

@Nobody01 that's what I kind of do with my mainlined pants right now lol :P But honestly that sounds plausible :)

when i was younger i did 16 hours of community service at a green house for possession (not on record, but i guess it is, now)... lol.. anyway, i was told not to prune every node, but skip one then cut. so basically 2 nodes between cuts. not sure if that applies to marijuana, though. I'm sure it can handle it but maybe not optimal. 1 node - 2 nodes - safe to cut. i don't know if it matters, but anecdotally i think a little beginning growth of auxiliary buds before i top that branch tends to help too. as opposed to the tiniest nubs in nooks -- more so about anything below, the 1-2 at top are typically still quite small when i do it. i'll take more than 1 node off top occasionally too.

Thx man, I'm so unsure about literally every step I make growing these for the first time. I just want them to be happy :)
