Winter Drying Temp

HighOnMySupply
HighOnMySupplystarted grow question 5 months ago
Curious on drying temps. I'm fairly confident I can keep humidity where I need it but living in Minnesota and coming into winter, it's about 68° inside. Pulling in outside air would be far too cold. Is 68° too high for drying?

The ideal temperature for drying cannabis should be between 60 and 70°F, with a relative humidity for drying cannabis sitting between 45% and 55%, so if you're at 68 °F now you're still in range and it's not too high, just make sure to not go over 70°F because If the temperature is too high during the drying process, it can cause the buds to dry too quickly, leading to a harsh smoke and undesirable taste.

We're in MN too. Planning on drying in the lower level guest room where we keep the heat vent closed. It can get about 65-68 degrees or lower if I crack the window. Our grow tent is in the upper level living room so not the best place to dry (too warm). We haven't told the kids what we're doing yet, so I'm glad that they're hosting the holidays this year. LOL (They would be pissed if the grandkids saw our set up!) 😬

Might dry a little to fast but 68F (20 C) is alright. I mean you can open the window for like 2mins every couple hours to get to the temperature you aim for or not? ( more or less depending on how cold the place is you live oc) finally you can always throw in a Boveda afterwards...
