Genetics + humidity + airflow I encountered the same problem, after just finishing my first grow. I have a carbon filter set up but wasnt running it enough, allowing RH to go up to 80-90% for short periods. After the first two plants that were fluffy like yours, I kept the filter going so that RH stayed at 65% max, 50-60% average, added more fans, and kept temps lower (75ish instead of 80s) and the result was much, much tighter buds. This was the same strain, same breeder, same batch, just different RH. Try lowering RH/stabilizing it, getting 32watts/ft^2, and better airflow.

Umm genetics play a big part of the overall look of the buds. Your nugs could've definitely had those formed sugar leaves cut off.. It's a lot easier to trim before you dry, as I'm sure you've discovered :). Umm it's outdoor Cannabis.. Depending on where you live it can be very hard to achieve good looking end results. Although cannabis grows in a lot of different climates it does better in certain climates, depending on strain of course.. If you achieve smokable outdoor Cannabis you've done a pretty descent job.. I end up extracting a lot of my outdoor grows. But anyway good job dude. You'll do better next time :)

You'll want to trim all those leaves off and use them to make some killer hash. Do some research on trimming, drying, curing, and using trim. 👍

But also you get to keep all that trim for edibles and such. I think you harvested a bit early but you know for next time, no worries. Trust me get your comfy scissors of choice and trim off all the excess, the buds are in there still. No they won't ever stay as big as when you harvested.

Have you trimmed it? What I'm looking at in that bowl is dried but not trimmed. You might have a bit of research to do. Trimming is a whole industry in it self. You got some work to do before you get that jarred up

Agree with your comments about not enough sun for fatter nugs. Try using curved blade trimmers. You can also get auto trimmers that will clean that up. They're not auto though lol, just a pair of grates that rotate on top of another.

Hello my friend, I think that the reason may be too early harvest and the fact that you have to knead them yourself in your fingers. And it's not so bad for the first time, Regards you P.S is my first answer here.
