Buds look so different!

I am curious about how different the flower from my good friend is looking. His Northern Lights Buds don't look like mine. Any idea? Maybe not the same strain? I am just curious!

Viel erfolg euch beiden.

Seeds are not twins/clones and even if they where, unless your growing them the exact same they will still have differences. Think of seeds like brothers and sisters. You don't look identical to your sibling and nore do plants. This is a good thing. its also why clone only strains exist as they can not be replicated via seed. In short; its normal.

Hi growmie, the first one looks like foxtail. It's caused by high temperatures. The second one is grown under normal conditions. Some people have a preference for it and force the foxtail to develop with high temperatures. Northern Lights is the perfect genetic for that. I've had both varieties indoors with her: foxtail in the summer 😅 and normal in the winter 😋. But both were fine... Best regards and Happy Growing 🔥🌱

One on the left is grown with higher temps, transpiration is running very high, this can be very stressful. If the environment is too hot, the buds spread out to allow air flow. One on the right is what I'd expect from a regular 77F with optimal everything else. Several environmental and plant-specific factors can affect floral development in cannabis: light cycle (photoperiod), temperature, humidity, nutrient availability, pests, and diseases. Nitrogen availability plays a role in floral development and medium sugar content. Photomorphogenesis is the light-mediated developmental process in plants, where light signals influence the growth and development of the plant, while genetics refers to the study of heredity and how genes are passed down from parents to offspring, influencing traits like plant height and disease resistance. Essentially, photomorphogenesis is an environmental response (light), and genetics is the blueprint (genes) that the plant uses to respond to both environmental cues and its own internal processes. Genetics loads the gun, environment pulls the trigger. Photomorphogenesis, the light-dependent developmental process in plants, promotes gene expression. Light signals, perceived by photoreceptors like phytochromes, cryptochromes and UVR8, trigger a cascade of events that ultimately lead to changes in gene expression.
