Raise the humidity to 75% or higher. Place a clear Ziploc over the top to keep them humid if you can't get the tent humidity up. Use a syringe/q-tip/straw to keep those seed hulls moist. They should have cracked before they popped out of the soil but now you have to do the soils's job of wetting the seed hull. I've saved one before like this by going in and soaking the seed hull in a spoon of water, or a syringe with water, just for a minutes whenever I have a chance to throughout the day. Start now, get them moist!

In my experience it is best to take off the shell as soon as you can. a small set of tweezers (or 2) and a toothpick are excellent tools. A magnifying glass or reading glasses help too. securely hold the shell so that when you apply any pressure with toothpick that the stem does not move or experience any physical stress. The goal is to hold that shell in place, so don't tweeze over the split in shell. grip one side only with tweezers. Slightly poke toothpick in and pull/push away from tweezers -- again try to hold the shell stationary as best you can to avoid damaging the growth tip inside or fragile stem. After you pry the shell open it should more easily fall off. There may be a membrane still holding the leaf/growth tip together. Don't try to rip it. Taket he toothpick and pike in at base of where leaves split and gently slide the membrane off the ends of leafs. This should not take any effort. If you try to rip it off you will more likely damage cotys or growth tip. There's always a chance you rip off a cotyledon and that will slow down the first week's progression... maybe 2. when it is left in the shell for days above ground the leaves don't develiop properly. they need to react to light. elevated moisture and other risks.. better to remove the shell asap and they skip the whole recovery process. bury the seed slightly deeper or tamp down the soil that fills in above it a bit more... a little more friction on the way to sprouting will avoid this issue. trial and error... you'll have a familiar perfect depth soon enough.

Your best bet is to spray it every so often to keep it damp. More often times than not, removing it by hand rips it to shreds. Hope this helps.

It can take up to 2-3 days........be patient and let it do it on its own. Damage is almost 100% guaranteed if you try to remove it yourself. Spritzing the seeds husk every hour or so to soften it can help, but in reality, the seed should do it itself. If not, it was never meant to be, some seeds just don't make it.

You've received excellent recommendations already but I did want to mention something. I noticed when "helmet head" happens to me, it was because I didn't plant them quite deep enough. Best of luck, I'll be sure to check back in your diary to see if it made it!

the husk of the shell will come of on its own most the time though if it does not in the next few days I hope you have steady hands lol I've done it in the past with tweasers but sometimes you just end up with a bad seed that wont grow anyway so you just gotta be really delicate and you can get it off the main thing is if its rooted or not. best of luck.
