Should I defoliate after topping with LST ?

I just did my first topping and she took it very well, no signs of stress and actually growing really fast I think. I was thinking about LST the top colas so the lower ones can reach that height, should I cut the top leaves shadowing the lower future colas?

Too early to start defoliating. I think you'd be better off with LST to give light to those bottom colas because they still have lots of time to grow to the top.

Are these plants ready for topping/LST? 2 have just gotten to 6th node and one to 5th (was planted 4-5 days after first two)Looking to top all three and potentially manifold at least one of these plants. Only concern is I just transplanted them in tuesday. They look great but I just want to make sure they are out of the woods on transplant shock before i start hacking away at them.
