Hi everyone, I would like to ask you how you test Temperature and RH. Do you put your thermometer under the direct light at the base of the plants or inderectly, because I have pretty different values . If I put it under the light my temperature is near 35°C and RH is under 20%

You can go with a laserpistol( 5 euro on amazon) to check the temperature for the plants near the Tops. The Rh i measure on the bottom of the tent So i have always an rh/temp controller running at the bottom. and if i think its not the right temp i go and get my Laserpistol. But if you grow longer, you feel it if rh and temp is correct

Seeing as you're running hydro you should be able to get away with relatively higher temps if you're cooling the water. However, using a temp gun is best as what you really should be monitoring is the leaf temp. Hydro plants can easily have a 5 degree temperature difference, it may be the same in other mediums I dunno. Anything under 30 degrees Celsius is fine. Humidity is definitely your main enemy in a grow tent, that's why defoliation is necessary, to increase air flow so your plants can breath. When humidity reaches 70% the stomatas will close up, they also close if a shade response occurs in them. I'm currently experimenting with a no defol in tent grow. Not through environment but by changing the physical attribute of the plant (replacing water with pectin).

I use to put my hygrometer hanging at the same heigh of the plants top, it stays at the side of the box and I think it works good, tried to put it on the pots under the light and the temps were not as real.. Good luck finding your best setup way

I imagine you will get all kinds of answers here. I use a grow cabinet, and I have two thermometers. I use a velcro attached one, to the door about halfway down. I also hang a thermometer (remote with base unit) about level with top of canopy in the center of the cabinet. I feel this is what the plant is experiencing for the most part. The door one is a sanity check, to indicate what is going on below canopy. I am ok with these disparate temps, as internal cabinet circulation from bottom inlet out through the top of unit, mixes air well. If you are in a larger, more open grow area, I'll let more experts chime in.

Hello, I usually use two hygrometers in the grow, one at the top of the pots and the other between the light source and the top of the plants, they should be under the light as the plants are to have correct values. you must increase your humidity with a humidifier and decrease the temperature with a more powerful air extractor
