Cant find deionized water where I live to mix up my ph powder solutions and be confident they are correct. I used generic distilled water before but later realized it was not neutral at 7.0 ph. So long story short google says Smart Water is 6.98 ph, Think I can use it instead?

I use volvic water to calibrate my PH pen . Its at pH 7. I got tired of spending money on calibration fluid so just grabbed some volvic and used that instead. Been doing that for 2 years and never had any problems ✌️

use distilled water, it is at a 7, the reason we want to calibrate the meters at 7 is because we know that the ph is at a 7, we also know that sure other waters like smart water is usually at a 6.98. yes that sounds appealing, but there could be error and there is a .0002% chance, while the distilled is always 7, also distilled water has nothing in it. there's nothing, while smart water contains trace amounts of vitamins, ect. i would say yes go ahead only if you intend to use smart water for the whole grow, this would run your pocket book. we use distilled water because we will us water from a tap or ro water. it is just more economical so use smart water to calibrate, then use smart water for the whole grow., make sense?
