Imo I think it's silly to lst plants when they are so small. There is plenty of light around the plant so the new nodes should push up no problem and start bushing out when they are small. I top my plants around weeks 3-4, and again around 2 weeks later, and following weeks until it's the size I want. I do single plant srcogs and end up with around 10 week veg.

Try to work backward from the canopy you want... that usually dictates how many colas you want per plant.. you can be systematic about trainnig to get to that exact target with the least amount of wasted vege growth to get there. if they are autos, just spread them out and keep the canopy even as best you can. you have no idea when that vege growth ends so it's pretty difficult to plan anything.

IMO, top, then LST OR just LST. Training then topping soon after isn't the best idea. As mentioned, if they are autos LST alone is more than enough.

why should you top them? you just startet to tie them down, so they will try to distribute growth to all shoots (depends also on the strain, how this works). if you use auto´s it would also be a no go to top them, cause it delays the growth more then LST and you get a similar result if done right.

If these are autos don‘t top them, LTS is more than enough without risking to stunt the plant
