Hi Ja, foxtailing can actually have negative effects on the potency of the buds. This can be caused by various stress factors such as heat, light, or pH levels in the root zone. It can also be due to genetics, as some strains are more prone to foxtailing. The abnormal growth conditions result in the buds containing less THC and other active compounds. This means that the buds are less potent and the yield is lower.

Depending on why it’s foxtailing, it could be leading to other troubles. If it’s too close to your light you could run into mold and burn issues. Too far away from your light and it will be airy or leggy, not dense. Some varieties are prone to foxtail, and others will late into maturity. I’ve seen them covered in trichomes and smoke good, they have also turned out to be a bust. It is just one of those trial and error things. A lot of other factors go into it.

Hallo nein seh ich nicht so. Ich hatte Foxtails die einen guten Ertrag hatten und auch sonst qualitativ sehr gut waren. Mach dich nicht so verrückt schaue das alle Werte stimmen und das Licht etwas dimmen oder höher hängen 😉 und es wird deinen Mädels bis zum Ende gut gehen 👍. Viel Glück 🍀.

Didn't notice smell before drying. Possible bud rot? Was humid, so put in dryer for extra 24 hours until stems broke.I noticed 1 bud that smells bad. It literally smells like a mothball. Loud, chemically(it's a Chemdog cross) and offensive. Opened bud, but I don't see any mold with the naked eye and don't have a micro yet. Should I just throw it or the plant away? I'm not sure what to do...Week 9
