This is my very first grow - and first time growing anything indoors. Long time veggie gardener. I am having some sight leaf curl on my 3.5 week old starts. Color is good, just slight upward curl. What’s up?

Hi @Cluck ! When I take a look at your picture I can see that you leaves are curling up so it is the sign of an heat issue, your medium looks fairly dry so it will be great to give them less water but more often . You may low your temperatures a bit by using a fan but don't put it too close from your plants. But I would say that your plants are healthy so you don't have to worry about their height , they will thrive by they own soon ! Hope it will help you to grow better , faster , stronger 💪👍😁

I would listen to Kaya666 she got good advices. If your plant stays abit pale give her Calimagic (calcium*magnesium) that turns on the fotosythesis and your leaves will turn green. The general mistakes of first time weed growers are. To much water, to near to the lamp and to much nutrients...........iam sure you will avoid that and get a very nice grow

Hey man it’s all good just let them have their dry period. They look healthy it can be a sign of rapid growth, or wind affect from a fan being too close? Anyhow looking good!

Hello! Your plant looks healthy, if a bit small for its age. Autos should have a minimum of 18 hours of light per day to meet their potential, with up to 24 hours of light being acceptable. You might consider giving her more light to help her catch up in size. Leaf curl could be due to heat or light stress, meaning the lights are too close or temps are too high in the grow room. Temperatures should be between 70-85* Fahrenheit in veg with 40-60% humidity for optimal growth. I used a spray bottle to mist my leaves 3x per week in veg. And make sure to keep an oscillating fan going for fresh air in the grow space. Hope that helps!

With young plants they can be rather sensitive to humidity shifts. Looking at your meter I can see that you do seem to have a lot of swings in temp and humidity. If you can control it that would be good but if you can I wouldn’t worry about it as they get bigger it won’t be an issue
