Think about tomatoes you need to pluck the suckered to get better fruit!! Cotton is the same... apple and fruit trees get lollypopped... many others... and the cannabis industry pays the wages of lots of people just to pluck leaves.. you work it out..

There may be 1 or 2 leaves that could be removed but its minor. Some people on here are hilarious claiming defoliation is bro science to then go on to try and explain their theory with bro science, quality. Some light will travel through the a leaf, mostly reds and greens but it wont travel through a number of leaves.

I don’t think you need to defol your tent isn’t packed also your plants are very weak and not very tall. You only really need to defol when leaves are blocking lower good bud points. I think you should just focus on being the plant to harvest and look into more advanced techniques in the future. I would suggest starting to prepare for harvest collecting all the things you will need to harvest and dry and cure

Don't do it. More leaves = more energy being made = more (bud) growth............it is that simple! Besides, if your plant would not NEED those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place. Plants look generally over fed too. ALL of the plants ability to thrive and grow comes from the leaves............less leaves, less thriving and less growing. Removing leaves so that "the plant channels energy into the buds" is utter nonsense, it is not how plants work. How can removing the energy makers (the leaves) result in there being more energy for bud growth? Where is this extra energy magically coming from??

Best thing to do is look on other profiles and see how defo vs not defo and the end results.. As for bro science.. there is new science that overwrites the old facts and this year there's loads of new science out there...just to keep you updated 1001001. Mostly everything you thought you knew is now bollocks. Worse than bro science.. wrong science...

Less stress is better, especially for autoflowers due to their short life cycle. It's preferable to stick with LST and some leaf tucking. I try to only defoliate in cases of excessive foliage that significantly blocks light penetration to the lower buds.

Defoliation is a useless "technique" that does nothing positive unless it is in response to an ongoing catastrophe of infections on the leaves. autoflower or photperiod is irrelevant. the only marijuana site with half-way decent guides that at least attempt to avoid the bro-science nonsense are on cocoforcannabis.com. "defoliating allows the plant to concentrate on buds" - total fucking nonsense and not even a rational argument. Leaves are parallel to lungs. CO2 is your limiting factor. Don't limit co2 intake even more with needelss defoliation, bwahaha. Even if the bro science arguments they made up were true, which it most definitely is not, it wouldn't outweigh that simple fact.

If you see fit and can justify taking them off then do so. 1 way to learn and that's putting it into practice... very controversial subject. Sometimes I do sometimes I don't.... too much leaves is a problem too little leaves is a problem.. hurting the plant inst good especially for autos but done correctly will have benifits... Hope is helps

Defoliation is a topic that is gonna get lots of conflicting advise. Lots of misconceptions on the technique. Very passionate opinions on both sides lol. When done properly with a little common bit sense, I can promise it's not gonna hurt anything. Looking at your diary, it wasn't necessarily needed, but your plants will be fine.

don't, almost always not worth it. use LST. More leaves = more growth/energy = bigger plants = more weed

Hi bud. Same goes for autoflowers as with photoperiods, 1. two weeks before flip 2. two weeks after flip 3. four weeks before harvest (main-lining) Do not defoliate too much in one go. And if you find yourself defoliating every week, something isn't right 😂

defoliating when she is in flower would be treated the same as with photos, I'd possibly use a little extra care with an auto just because they've usually been in overdrive for some time by that point
