Small flies issue

So I have seen a few flies in my grow space. They don't seem to be doing any harm to my plants. I keep killing them but alway seem to be there. Should I be worried and should I use any other methods?

They are most probably fungus gnats. They thrive in moist soil, their larvae feed on the roots and in quantity they can be a real issue. You are most probably over watering, let the soil dry up before watering again. They are really hard to get rid of once they appear, you can top your soil with 2 inches of sand, they larvae will not be able to crawl out of it.

go to the garden store and ask for bacillus thurengensis (BT) or BT Israelis .... These are bacterial paracites that will control the fly population. Also stop over watering , the flies are from the humid conditions persisting instead of a wet dry cycle. Just wait an extra day before you water again. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Neem oil and water in a spray bottle does the job for most pests.

@spinnnn yeah but seems to be the garbage kind. just basic small black flies. Have set-up load of traps now. I tend to leave my grow room door open to let air in, seems thats how they getting in.

With my first "failed" grow (temp issues and mites) i used biokill (if you have it in your country its basicly an organic insecticide) and it worked wonders. Just remember to use just before light out or you will have burn spots on your leaves. Hope that helps :)

depending on wihch flies we are talking about , if we 'r talking about the same buds that flies around the garbadges then it's harmless , if we'r talking about the small one then it's harmless but if we are talking about the white flies then it's important to treat right now. The principal issue with the regular flies is that they always wanna fly around our faces
