Day shift for Photos.

How to to a day shift for photoperiodics without mutation/hermies etc. Light schedule: 18/6; want to shift 8 to 12h backwards/forwards. Just in one shock? (e.g. give them 12h on top) Step by step? 2 weeks enough for recovery for 12/12 switch?

just extend the night period one night then adjust intensity. easy and simple. Eg. if you are 18/6 right now, next lights out time will be earlier. I do this when the lights are already off or the day has just started. So keep the light turning on at the same time. maybe that's 7am. and then edit the timer so it goes off at 7pm aka 12/12 vs 11pm for the 18/6 A switch in light should not cause hermies and if it does. the plant is bad stock. Also don't do this willy nilly and edit timers every other week. that's hard on the plant. do it once when switching to bloom. Side note. 18/6 and 12/12 should have ruffly the same DLI. move light closer or increase its intensity to match its DLI of before. Don't just give more. more is not always better. My lights are 16/8 40% dim at 20" hang for a DLI of 36 in veg, in bloom its 11/13 60% dim at 20" hang for 37 DLI
