This might be a silly question(first grow), but is it normal for the nodes near the stem to look round and shiny?

The plants look very healthy you've done a great job so far! 🌱 No worries, that shine is completely normal. It will balance out over time. Most hormones are concentrated in the nodes, which causes those areas to swell. The resulting surface tension gives the plant that glossy appearance. ✨

Before the plant can thicken the stems it needs to reinforce the bases of each stem, I like to think of it like a construction site, plant is always building what it perceives ahead of itself. Happy growing, first grow is always special, welcome to the community 😊.

There’s really no need to worry – that’s completely normal and actually a sign of how healthy and strong your plant is. You’re doing a great job!

Certainly is completely normal and exactly how cannabis grows. You have nothing to be concerned about.
