Kratky isn’t working well

AlpineGoat
AlpineGoatstarted grow question 4 years ago
Kratky system isn’t working well for my girl. She keeps growing slowly thanks to some hydratation with the spray but the roots never reached the water. I never used rockwool for her, only perlite. What can I do? It’s almost 1 month old!

@Silky_smooth, have the same kind of setup on one of her diary or too so I recommending you to take a look and well copy what she's doing has she's doing it well. That said if the roots doesn't touch the water you can bring more water or put a cotton mesh , like that the water will travel trought the mesh and will reach the roots , google it , if I remember well they are doing it with dutch pots or NFT system ( I'm not sure )

Uhh...I think your roots still have to reach the water first. Once they have then just maintain it so there's always an air gap. But don't quote me on this one.

the more times you water the quicker she will move it wont hurt. you are washing through each time as long as roots dont sit in still/stagnating water start of with an empty container if you like gives more waterings before an empty

that looks like a mini bubbler without the bubbles. what i would do is get a small syringe 5 ml and inject water from the top just a couple of ml each time maybe 3/4 times a day when roots touch the water dump it out if its been there a while you are running is a passive system this will add a little activity
