Parts of 3-4 week old roots are weak and slim at some points

The roots of my plants are looking slim at the top and are thicker in the middle and the end. They look sick. I use rockwool cubes and keramzite as medium. There is also a blue tint on a plastic tube in my reservoir. What can cause this and what should I do to make them get bette

Could be classic root rot. Caused by your res temperature being too high, light leaks, foreign debris etc. My advice would be to find where you went wrong by figuring out what you did right. The tote looks dark to me so no light leaks. if the leaves look healthy your nutrients should be good. for temperature, I would freeze Gatorade gallon containers full of water and just pop the lid to sink one into the water to keep it cool. then I would just swap them out throughout the day. Water coolers are expensive and I didn't bother until I felt I needed one for RDWC. If I ever have any root issues I use Hydroguard and it cleans everything up. Change out your water and quickly scrub the tote cleanish to have a nice water change. Good luck!

I would assume it would only make a difference if it was in the same container as the plants to interact. Or be a fungus, I think most produce at least some amount of CO2.

Root rot or not?I can’t tell if this is normal discoloration or starting signs of root rot. Running Orca, Roots Excellurator silver, hydroguard and z7, res temps have drifted around 72-75f when my chiller was down for the first week, have since kept it at 68f. Would greatly appreciate some help.

Mesh plastic pots and root health?Is using these mesh plastic pots going to give me issues with lights getting to the roots for young seedlings? I plan to transplant into fabric pots well before they fill these up with roots, but they will likely be in these mesh plastic pots for 2ish weeks.

Roots sticking out in 3 gallon is this normal 2 weeks after transplant?I grow in a 3 gallon and the roots are sticking out beneath but the plant has not substantially grown and she only got transplanted 2 weeks ago to this pot. Soil Bluetooth MeterI just got a soil meter for measuring soil temp, fertilizer, moisture & lux. I’m not Sure if it’s working right cuz I just watered the day before yesterday & added nutrients. The lux makes since but I’m still not sure what the numbers mean including the fertilizer data given.
