1h test with empty 60×50×104cm box: SF1000D at 50cm, fan 50%, 4" extractor 130m³/h max. Just a test, I also have humidifier & dehumidifier. Result: 31.6–31.7°C vs 25.9°C room (A/C on). Too hot! Any cheap cooling tips? Worked hard on this 😢🌿

89F yes too hot. Well technically it's not bit you would need to max out every metric and push hard. But your little grow box must learn to walk before it can run. You have your tent. You have your lung room. You have fresh air exchange. Daytime you kinda want to extract heat but keep some of the humidity. Vpd during daylight generally likes higher rh if you look to optimize. With that much extraction to control temps your going to create too strong a negative pressure with hot and dry conditions. Regular air pots in that environment will need watered potentially multiple times per day. Light go on when it's dark outside. Lights off when it's light outside. This will help mitigate heat. Extract all heat outside, fresh air pulled in from lung room. You can either save up and purchase portable ac unit which is a little pricy. Game changer. As a cheaper alternative you could cut out a window size hole for a window styled ac unit. Have it sit inside the box with the back end out of it, collecting water that drips out from bottom. Or you can cool the lung room with ac. Both will work. Cooling during the day is the issue. Once you get past August things should cool down and your box should drop a few degrees ambient. Making it perfect for autumn/ winter then your enemy is RH overnight. Stick to the fundamentals then do what all of the rest of us have done for years, fuxk it all up then learn from our mistakes 😀👍😉😄👏. Best of luck.

First off, nice setup. Can definitely see you put some time and effort into it. Did one myself when I first started. Also had heat issues. I use tents now, but both work fine. Where are you venting too. It should be outside. You can vent inside in the winter to help offset heating house and low humidity from HVAC unit heating house. But in summer where I'm at, you gotta vent it outside. Your room temp is high too. Don't close doors or seal off room your box is in. Doesnt allow HVAC unit to assist in cooling the room. From my experience, good led grow lights can still bring up box temps by 10 degrees F even with exhaust fan. You can add an inlet fan to the room if you can pull cold air from somewhere. I put one in mine and pulled straight off the vent for home a/c. Another trick is to run the system as much as possible at night times when outside temps are lower. So like 6pm to 12pm for 18/6 and switch to 6pm to 6am for flower. Some people use ice trays/packs to cool, but I never tried it. Not as cheap a fix would be to get a portable a/c unit and run it in the room. Just play around with it and see what works for ya Best of luck! Happy Growing!
