Hey 👋 thanks for sharing the pics, that helps a lot. First: overall assessment Your plants are clearly in late flower, stacking is done, and you’re now in the ripening + senescence window. What we see on the leaves (yellowing, edge burn, fading) is normal late-flower behavior, not a failure — especially around day 70+. Buds look well developed, frosty, and mature structurally 👍 About trichomes & timing If you’re struggling to see trichomes clearly: • A cheap 60–100x loupe or phone macro lens helps a lot • Always check calyx trichomes, not sugar leaves (those amber earlier) For couch-lock, your instinct is correct: • You want mostly cloudy trichomes • With ~15–30% amber on the calyx Based on: • Day 72 now • Bud structure • Leaf fade stage 👉 Your estimate of ~7–14 days is very reasonable. About your plan (dry-back + chop) This part is important 👇 Letting the pots dry before chop is fine, but: • Don’t wait for extreme wilting • You don’t need the plant to “almost die” A normal dry-down before harvest is enough. Over-drying can: • Stress terpenes • Reduce final aroma • Make trim harsher If pots normally dry in ~5 days, chopping around day 82–85 makes sense if trichomes agree. What I’d suggest practically and remember all you read here is just my humble opinion, please trust yous instincts always 🙏 From today: • Check trichomes every 2–3 days • Ignore sugar leaves • Focus on calyx heads When you see: • Mostly cloudy • Amber starting to appear consistently 👉 Start your final dry-down and prepare to chop within the week. Final reassurance You’re not late, you’re not early, and nothing looks wrong here. This is exactly what late flower is supposed to look like. Trust: • The trichomes • Not the calendar • Not leaf color alone You’re close — patience now = better effect later 👌 Growers Love my friend and keep us posted 💚💚💚

* the study found peak thc for a handful of plants they grew comparing harvests at week 8-9-10-11 ... is what i should have said. but again, clones of one plant doesn't begin to map out the variability. I'd assume they were a ~9-week flower that most plants are +/- 5 days from that.. at least in my experience that seems to be the most common bulk of plants. Some are faster, some are longer...

The longer i go, the less i give a fuck about the trichomes, lol. It's not that i don't believe the science of it, but the application is messy. Some plants don't show amber until they start to die on the stem. if the lowers are fully ripened, it's good, unless you want weed that puts you to sleep. Or, all the stigmata are coiled up and showing color and calyxes not getting any fatter for a few days etc... you can see it happen .. the just look different when fully ripe. in the end it won't matter too much. i'm harvestingn based purely on looks this year just for shits and grins. Once it looks fully ripe, i'm waiting 5-7 days beyond that point and harvesting. Cloudy and amber are indications of degredation, not "peak thc" I just read a study that found peak thc/cbg and something else but there's a lot of variablility from plant to plant, so this is something that would take a ton of cross referencing and huge samples to actually know anything with confidence. One person growing a handful of plants definitely doesn't know with confidence, either. trial and error... if you like the resutls, it doesn't fucking matter if it is peak thc or peak something else, lol. I've let too many over-ripen waiting for trichomes to amber up in the past and i'm not making that mistake anymore. I don't want to get high and then 2 hours later feel like i'm going to pass out like i took a dose of Nyquil or some sleeping pill, lol.

3 weeks it will be nearly dead/dying. I would not give it any more than a week until harvest. It looks to be already entering the "couchlock" state.

Sieht relativ fertig aus, kontrollier die trichome und wenn so 80% milchig sind und der Rest Amber und Durchsichtig. Dann kannst du ernten. Viel Erfolg und genieĂźe die ernte
