My plants got moldy because I didn't pay attention to ventilation. What do you do when you encounter moldy plant? Do you remove the moldy parts and let the rest continue to grow, or do you harvest the whole plant?

gently rmove and throw it out... take it to the outside garbage can.. don't agitate it inside. Cut it up and bag it outside, if you must. if it's that far along, it's already releasing spores. Probably much more growth than what you can see. Unless it is your only plant, no reason to endanger other plants around it. This will depend on how risk averse you are... how many plants there are, etc... use some common sense and err on the safe side relative to choosing to trash a plant or amputate select limbs. I'd also make that my last trip to the tent that day until i take a shower sometime between. Especially if you chopped it up outside to fit into a bag... probably got spores all over your clothing and hands. You can try cutting off portions, but definitely inspect the entire plant and all plants in the area... it spreads fast once it gets started. if you cut portions out,t hen find more in the coming weeks, you know you didn't remove it all or it was already spread around and colonizing whether you could see it or not. Also, no such thing as 'washing mold' off plants. If it's moldy, it's garbage.

it’s only on a few branches and caught early, you can remove the moldy parts with clean scissors and improve ventilation immediately increase airflow, lower humidity, check temps. But if the mold is spread through multiple buds or inside the plant, harvesting now is safer. Mold can spread fast and ruin the whole plant. If you’re early flower, it might be worth harvesting and drying carefully with good airflow. Don’t let it sit mold gets worse quickly.

Ouch, that sucks. Not that much research has been directed at the effects of consuming moldy cannabis - but common sense tells me that it isn't something you'd want to pursue. We had this issue last summer in the main cola of one of our outdoor ladies, we decided to simply cut out the moldy part and the area around the bud and spray it with hydrogen peroxide (1% solution). Don't throw away the entire plan, but be very cautious of spreading, to my knowledge the mold doesn't spread internally in the plan so removing visible moldy buds, cleaning their surroundings and continuous monitoring of the other budsites should suffice. tl;dr: Bud is lost, remove and monitor rest of plant.

That is every grower's absolute nightmare, Lilyb0974. When you spot mold like bud rot (Botrytis) or powdery mildew, you have to act immediately because it spreads incredibly fast through microscopic spores. First and foremost, never consume any parts that have mold on them, as it is a major health hazard. What you want to do right now is carefully cut away the affected buds or sections, making sure to cut a bit into the healthy tissue below it to ensure you got it all. Be extremely gentle when doing this so you don't accidentally shake and scatter the spores onto the rest of your crop. Once the moldy parts are safely removed and discarded, you don't necessarily have to chop down the whole plant right away if the rest looks completely clean. You can let the remaining healthy parts continue to grow and mature, but you must fix your environment instantly. Turn up your ventilation, add more oscillating fans to keep the air moving, and drop your relative humidity levels significantly to stop any leftover spores from waking up and ruining the rest of your hard work. Keep a very close eye on them daily. Happy Growing Growmie🌱

Cut off the part that's effected and area around it, inspect remainder of plant and keep checking daily it hasn't spread any further, be generous on the amount you get rid off. Better throwing away potential buds effected near the mold then keeping them.

Remove molded buds ASAP & hope that it didn‘t spread… Rest you can try to bring to harvest Budrot starts from inside out so possible that more buds are infected
