I started feeding liquid nutrients this week. Although I’m using Nature’s Living Soil Super Soil Autoflower Concentrate mixed with Fox Farm Ocean Forest—so technically I could water only until harvest—I decided to begin liquid feeding in Week 3 at half the recommended dose. I also have a Tray2Grow Autopot system for automatic bottom feeding, but I haven’t activated it yet. When using liquid nutrients via top feeding, I’d need to turn the Autopot system off and wait until the plants absorb all the water in the tray before feeding from the top. Afterward, I’d have to manually turn the system back on. That seems like a hassle compared to just hand-watering and feeding. I could technically add the liquid nutrients to the Autopot reservoir, but that somewhat defeats the purpose of the system. The tank holds 25 gallons—enough to last a few weeks—but if I want to change or rotate nutrients weekly, I’d have to dump the remaining water and remix the solution each time. If I wanted to feed nutrients every other watering, I’d be changing out the tank every 3 days. Plus, liquid nutrients can cause buildup, so I’d need to clean the reservoir and all the tubing regularly. For now, I’ll stick with hand-watering and top feeding. I’ll only switch to the Autopot system if I need to leave town.

Final product is been absolutely amazing on these clones - the jungle came out about average but the clones definitely exceeded expectations there absolute fire in comparison but still just as good hopefully I can just improve a few issues we had on this run and dial right in 100% will be so much better, next few run is going to be special I’ve got a few things lined up. From tester packs to breeders packs I can hunt from. So lots to choose from but what to keep to run will be interesting

🌼 Week 1: Flower Power Unleashed! 🙌 The excitement is palpable—it's the first week of Flower! 🌸 Our girls are ready to dazzle as it steps into this vibrant phase. Remarkable Stretch: Hold on tight, because the stretch is in full swing! 🚀 Our green companions are reaching for the skies, displaying a wild surge of growth. Brace yourself, as the promise of doubling in size during Flower unveils a spectacle in the making. Strategic Scrogging: To tame the exuberant growth, a well-timed second Scrog at day 7 is in play, orchestrating the dance of foliage. It's a symphony of green, ensuring that our Lemon Orange beauties grow with grace and control. Nutrient Management: The week kicks off with a refreshing flush, bidding farewell to the old nutrients and welcoming a new chapter. From the second day onward, a mindful approach unfolds, with 80% of the recommended nutrients by Terra Aquatica. It's a delicate balance, nurturing the plants with the perfect blend for optimal growth.

My good friend convinced me that trimming and training are paramount, so I've started with slowly defoliating the Creme de la Chems to try and get to lollipop status. They're just starting to flower, so I figured I could get away with a more aggressive approach. Because I failed to train these girls early, I'm stuck dealing with a little rain forest. What I've tried to do is trace each flower topped stalk up from the base, and trim away from the bottom up. 1/3 of the way up per day. I've now got a thick canopy, and I've been trying to just use leaf tucking and manual manipulation every few hours in order to keep the different height flowering sites in direct light. These ladies have really been thriving, and it's been such a joy to watch them grow! I like having two plants in one net pot letting them grow wild, but I think in my next grow I'll keep it to one per pot and train better from the start. As for the Super Orange Haze ... not as good. I attempted to pull the main branch over to train her to some empty space, but I was too aggressive and ended up popping her head off :(. First grow, first disaster. I took the head and stripped her/coated in clonex and pushed her into some potting soil just to see what would happen. There hasn't been enough foliage to really make me want to do any trimming, I've just tried to tie the stalks off to train them apart. I'm really sad about my mistake decapitation, but she seems to be doing well still. She's probably week 2 of flower based on others' journals. I changed the water midway through the week (which is when the videos were taken). I drained most of the water out, but roots prevented me from getting the last few gallons. When I refilled the res with RO, I measured the PPM at around 200. I have to assume that remaining nutrient was completely unbalanced leftovers, so feeding will have to just have to be experimental. My approach has been to give around 1:1 Gro vs Bloom and Micro every 2-3 days when I refill with RO. I want to build my PPM up to 1000, but slowly so that I can detect if I hit a ceiling first. It's hard to measure how much food is in the water based on PPM. CalMag is what drives it mostly, so I've been using CalMag as a sort of measuring stick. I keep the CalMag pegged to the Bloom food, but I know it's only good for initial dosing. I can't assume the plants are eating CalMag in the same proportion as anything else :(. If anyone has a line on cheap lab testing ... hit me up. I'd love to be able to test a few hundred samples at a time for NPK and trace so that I can tell (even if post facto) what was going on.

Both plants are thriving, each expressing itself according to its own timeline, yet sharing the same healthy rhythm seen across the room. This is one of those cultivars where detail becomes the story. ⸻ Growth & Structure • Stage: Vegetative • Flowering signs: None confirmed • Pre-flower: Possible very early indication on one plant (not yet definitive) Plant A — with prior vegetative period • Veg history: ~15 days under 18h light • Node count: ~8 • Size: Significantly larger (as expected) • Branching: Strong and active • Leaf size: Large, dominant, highly detailed On this plant, light leaf bending / leaf tucking has begun. Large fan leaves are gently tucked or repositioned underneath the canopy to: • Improve light penetration • Encourage lower branch development • Balance apical dominance • Promote a more even structure This is not aggressive training — no topping, no tying, no stress. It’s a soft, observational approach, simply guiding leaves out of the way so the plant can express its natural branching potential. ⸻ Plant B — 12/12 from seed • Node count: ~4 • Size: Smaller, as expected • Branching: Surprisingly active for its size • Training: None Even without any intervention, lower branches on this plant are already reaching upward naturally, showing excellent hormonal balance and structural intent. ⸻ Leaf Expression & Detail Animal Mints truly shines in leaf morphology: • Extremely fine serration detail • Subtle curves along each leaf finger • Clean edges, no deformation • Deep, lush green coloration The level of detail is remarkable — almost sculptural — and clearly genetic rather than environmental stress–related. ⸻ Training Status (Clarified) • Leaf bending / tucking: • Applied only on the larger, vegged plant • Gentle, non-stressful • Focused on opening the canopy • No other training performed: • No topping • No LST • No defoliation The goal remains support, not control. ⸻ Veg vs 12/12 Comparison This folder offers a clear and valuable comparison: • The plant that received a veg period is larger and more developed • The plant run 12/12 from seed is smaller, but structurally similar • Both show strong natural branching Notably, the vegged plant is still not flowering, despite already spending three weeks under 12/12. This week the plant finally gets the tent to itself and I began training for a wider canopy , poor girl looks tortured lol in this week I notice a mutation on one of the branches fasciation which I show in the video I’m unsure as what to do because in the week because I want to switch the plant very soon to flower and don’t want to waste a branch but I kinda wanted to see what the buds would look like if I left i ultimately decided to chop it

Never heard of weedseedsexpress before coming to grow diaries. Saw the contest as a great opportunity to try new seeds, and I was very surprised with the outcome. 100% germination rate, super strong plants, easy to grow, when it comes to pests and plagues, also performed well... even tho one was chopped because of becoming hermie, didn’t had any other issues with it. They like space to grow! And taking 2kg from 5 plants, to me, it’s an absolute record! I’ll definitely wanna try now more of @weedseedsexpress and recommend you guys to try them too. Weed has been drying now for 4 days, so, pretty soon I’ll be able to add the final weight!

this one seems to be keeping up with the others pretty well, wish it had produced some larger leaves prior to flip but oh well
